Magdalena Plewa is an active member of the AES. She  was Coordinator of Education&Student Events during AES Conventions in the US and Europe, as well as Vice Chair of AES Education Committee and currently she serves as a Governor. As the professional society for audio, the AES serves its global membership by providing educational resources, leadership in the development of new standards and technologies, and forums for the exchange of creative and scientific information. 

In 2016 Magdalena Plewa received PhD at Gdansk University of Technology with thesis dedicated to Music Information Retrieval and she is also making connections between science and practical applications in the field of audio technology. Recently she works as a specialist in research project dedicated to automatic speech transcription.

Learn How To Sound was established in 2009 by Magdalena Plewa and Szymon Piotrowski to organize events dedicated to education in sound engineering. Together with Grzegorz Pyda, who joined LHTS in 2015, they organized several courses, workshops, products presentations, meeting etc. within the are of audio technology.
